Make-up artist, Lucinda Burt works with many well known magazines and photographers, styling top models and celebrities for high profile photo shoots. Lucy has been a Weleda fan for several years, and her basic kit always includes several Weleda staples she relies on. She particularly loves two great multi-tasking products, which she put to use on her latest fashion photo shoot for Toni & Guy magazine (August issue). We asked Lucy to give us some backstage beauty tips that we could share with our customers, to get the latest look:

Weleda Almond Facial Oil

“Almond Facial Oil is the one product I use without fail on every job I do. On editorial working with some of the top models with the most sensitive skin, it is essential to my beauty prep. In beauty and fashion makeup I always start by massaging this oil onto clean dry skin. This process plumps the skin leaving it fresh and helps flush away puffiness. This oil is invigorating, smells amazing and not only enhances the skin’s texture with antioxidating qualities but helps breakdown all trace of dirt and makeup. I then cleanse with the Almond Cleansing Lotion as a perfect second step to immaculate skin. Weleda’s Almond Facial Oil can also be buffed onto the body to leave legs, arms and décolletage soft and supple with a beautiful dewy sheen.”

“This cream’s texture is rich and has a real luxury touch. A small amount is all that is needed to work magic. For a beautiful sheer and dewy look I massage a small amount of this moisturiser into the skin. It is easily absorbed to leave a luminous, hydrated glow. Working beautifully as a base under foundation, which can then be lightly buffed over the top for a flawless finish. A top tip for a natural creamy blush - apply a small amount of Weleda Skin Food to the back of your hand, take a brush stroke of your favourite powder blush and gently buff into the moisturiser. Apply with soft stokes to the apples of your cheeks for a gorgeous glowing barely-there flush effect.”
