Calendolon Ointment 25g

About the Product: Calendula officinalis also known as 'English' or 'Pot' Marigold. Found in many gardens worldwide. Calendula has been used for centuries for its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic qualities. It has been used so much in Russia that it has the nickname of Russian Penicillin. Products containing Calendula have been used as standby for health professionals, such as midwives, for many years.

Ingredients: 100g contains: 20ml of Calendula officinalis L., Herba tincture (1=2) in 43% ethanol, in a base containing Lanolin, Yellow Beeswax, Sunflower Seed Oil, Olive Oil and Wool Alcohols. Nominal ethanol content 7.25% w/w.

How to Use: ADULTS and CHILDREN: Cleanse the affected part and apply direct or on a dry dressing 2-3 times daily until the condition clears.

I want to share with all new mums and mums to be, the above product. I was given Calendolon Ointment on the birth of my first daughter. It was a fantastic ointment for breastfeeding, it was great that I could leave it on my nipples unlike other branded creams, and sore nipples healed so quickly, with it I successfully breastfed for nine months. It has now become a ointment that is always in my change bag, ready to be used for all those little scrapes and cuts. Although is has been renamed to ‘fairy cream’ and in a way it is for it instantly soothes both the cut and my daughter.
