Weleda Baby win again!
The year is getting off to a brilliant start – with a new award for Weleda from Natural Lifestyle Magazine Awards 2012. Weleda Baby won Best Body/Personal Care Range which was amazing as the category included all kinds of body care not just baby.
Our Hayfever Kit was nominated in the Best Herbal/Natural Product category and managed third place which is the first award won for this special pack. The Hayfever Kit contains Rhinodoron Nasal Spray and Mixed Pollen 30 Tablets to help ease those hayfever symptoms.
Silver Award a Sensation!
What a glittering end to 2011, as Weleda’s 90th anniversary drew to a close, Weleda Baby won yet another award. What a fabulous crop of accolades in 2011!
Weleda Baby has been awarded silver in the Best Premium Baby Skincare Range category in the Mother & Baby Awards which will be published in the Mother & Baby magazine during 2012.
Weleda’s commercial director Jayn Sterland was delighted with the win:
‘This award is a great way for us to wind up a year of celebration for Weleda, because the Mother & Baby Awards are voted for by testers not by a panel of professionals or an editorial team - these are real mums, in real life situations. They have strong opinions and know which products best suit their lifestyle and their little ones’.
Weleda Wow’s Celebs
Amazing news – not only did Victoria Beckham recently tweet that she loves our Skin Food! But Mr X Factor himself, Simon Cowell, sang the praises of our Citrus Refreshing Bath Milk.
On a USA chat show he talked about how he uses our invigorating bath milk as part of his early morning routine – he said ‘The bath milk I use is by a company called Weleda – there’s no sponsorship deal – I just love it. It’s a lemon milk and it’s the most delicious thing . . .’

Zest Magazine, December 2011. Feature: Your winter defence plan. It’s officially party season, but late nights and festive excess can take their toll. Here’s how to stop illness spoiling your fun . . . What they say? Runny Nose. There are about ten lurgy-inducing living in your nose, including the rhinovirus – responsible for up to 50% of colds. Cold viruses flourish at 33C, which is the same temperature as inside your nostrils. Meanwhile, central heating can dry out the tiny hairs that push out bacteria and dirt, leaving you more open to infection. PREVENT IT. Wrapping a scalf around you nose and chin can prevent your nasal cavities drying. ‘Cold air slows the flow of mucus that traps viruses and inhibits the white cells that fight them,’ says Professor Ron Eccles, director of the Common Cold Centre at Cardiff University. CURE IT. . . For a drug-free option, try a saline spray such as Weleda Rhinodoron, which helps clear out and moisture your nasal passages.
Simply Beautiful Magazine, December 2011. Feature: Hot off the press. It’s about thyme. What they say? Winter’s often blighted by coughs and Weleda offer natural remedies to help. It’s original Cough Elixir, a natural expectorant dating from 1954, combines herbal medicine with natural plant ingredients that will ease symptoms. The gentle action of drosera, pulsatilla and ipecac work with the body’ own defence mechanism to bring quick relief. Wrapped up in a warming syrup of raw can sugar and malt extract are some effective natural ingredients. Thyme is a herbal remedy traditionally used for bronchitis and tonsillitis – it eases chesty coughs and zaps invading bugs. There’s aniseed too, which is a natural expectorant and marshmallow root, a demulcent with natural anti-inflammatory properties. White horehound is good for acute bronchitis. As with all medicines, always read the label.
