SLEEP SOLUTIONS. Q I occasionally have trouble sleeping and struggle to get up in the morning, but am reluctant to resort to sleeping tablets. Do you have an alternative suggestion?
A The key to a good night’s sleep is ending the day feeling relaxed rather than wound-up and tense. We recommend a warming soak in Weleda Lavender Relaxing Bath Milk (rrp £9.50, 200ml) before bed or, if you prefer to have a shower, try Lavender Creamy Body Wash (rrp £7.95, 200ml). Follow this with some Lavender Relaxing Body Oil (rrp £9.95, 100ml) to ease any tension in your neck and shoulders, particularly if you have had a stressful day.
Just before retiring to bed, you could try taking Avena Sativa Comp Drops (rrp £8.50, 25ml), which are made with herbal ingredients and are a natural aid to relaxation. This holistic approach should help you to have better quality, longer-lasting sleep.
If you still struggle to get up in the morning, try our Rosemary Invigorating Bath Milk (rrp £9.50, 200ml) to help you start the day feeling perky.
Zest Magazine, January 2012. Feature: Essential Oils. Think oils are just for spas and salads? Not so. They’re the latest must-haves in the quest for gorgeous looks . . . What they say? For your body. Unlike creams or lotions, oils are water-free, so won’t quickly evaporate, meaning they’ll hydrate and benefit your skin for longer. Again, the key is to pick the right one for your skin type. . . And it’s not just yor skin that reaps the benefits. Choose one that’s blended with relaxing oils like lavender or jasmine, to soothe a tired mind and body, or rejuvenating oils such as rosemary and lemon to give you an energy boost. Zest Loves.
