    Welcome to Venda Showcase

Showcase is a demonstration eCommerce site where we can showcase samples of Venda functionality. This site is fully functional – you can browse through products, search, register, change languages and regions, and place a test order.

The tabs in this window contain links to items of functionality as well as some tips on how to get the most out of your visit to Showcase. We've included some basic tips below.

    • We operate two versions of this site, one each for EMEA and the US – visit venda.com/showcase to change locations.
    • Both sites are equipped with a variety of languages and regions (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and United Kingdom on Showcase EU, and US and Canada on Showcase US). You can change language and region using the switcher next to the welcome message in the header.
    • If you're also using the Venda Control Panel (VCP) during this demo, you should log in to the VCP using a different browser or a private browsing session to avoid any errors.

You can find supporting documentation for Venda functionality at venda.com/docs (contact your Venda representative for access).

  • Product Detail

    Product Detail Pages

Product Detail pages are inventory pages showcasing a specific product. We have a number of different Product Detail pages on Showcase, each suitable for different kinds of products. Furthermore, if your product have variations (also known as "Attributes") we have display styles that can support Products with up to four Attributes.

    Non-Attribute Product

The most basic form of Product with no Attributes or special requirements.

    Package Product

Package Products are where multiple products are sold as if it were a single product – they have their own price, description, stock levels, etc. An example of this functionality is a 'camera package', which includes a camera, carry case, and charger, and is offered at a discount.

    Attribute Product – Dropdown

A simple, classic interface where users select variations from dropdowns.

    Attribute Product – Grid

If there are two only two Attributes, they can be presented in a grid with Attributes running along each axis.

    Attribute Product – Swatch

Swatches are small buttons for each variaton and can contain images or text.

    Half Swatch

For two or more Attributes, you can have swatches for the first Attribute and dropdowns for the remaining Attributes. This is particularly useful if your products have color as their first Attribute but don't want swatches for the remaining Attributes.

    Multiple Add – 1 Attribute

Multiple Add can also be replicated by assigning Products to the parent SKU using Attributes. As these products have no further variations, the first Attribute is pre-selected and the customer simply adds the products to their cart using checkboxes. This is useful when the products exist only as variations of the parent product.

    Multiple Add – 2 Attributes

This is used when products are part of a set but the products have variations. Note that selecting an Attribute (in this example, color) shows products in the set only available in that variation. This helps ensure customers pick products only that match their selection.

  • Product List

    Product List Pages

Product Lists are used to display categories of products to customers. By default, all categories are driven by performing a search on the site filtering for the specific category. However, Product Lists can also be modified to replicate the "Get The Look" functionality.

TIP: When using the standard styles, try clicking the Product View Switches to see the different ways Customers can have Products presented to them (grid, list or image-only).

    Search Driven

A customer is shown in the inventory of a particular category by the site performing a search for all products within that category.

    Shop The Look

Particularly useful is the ability to offer customers multiple products that form a collection at once rather than separately. On fashion sites this is typically referred to as 'shop the look' or 'get the look' where an outfit is shown at once with links off to the products themselves.

  • Price Formats

    Price Formats

The prices of products are displayed automatically depending on the price data that is provided about the product. There are six different combinations that can be customized, depending on whether the product has Attributes, previous prices, and whether there are variations in the prices of its Attributes. Attribute products can have their prices set either on the parent level (i.e., one price for all variations) or individually per variation. It is also possible to show an MSRP, and store the cost price of Products too.

Non-Attribute Product with No Previous Price

The simplest way to display prices.

Non-Attribute Product with a Previous Price

A standrd product that has been reduced in price.

Attribute Product with No Previous Price and No Price Variations

An Attribute product that has no previous price nor price variations.

Attribute Product with a Previous Price but No Price Variations

An Attribute product that has been discounted but the price doesn't change when a user selects different attributes.

Attribute Product with No Previous Price but with Price Variations

An Attribute product with no previous price but with varying prices set on the Attribute level.

Attribute Products with Previous Prices and Price Variations

An Attribute Product with varying previous prices and current prices on each Attribute variation.

  • Merchandising

    Merchandising

Merchandising functionality improves conversion rates and generates more orders by directly marketing products to customers in various forms and at various times. We offer services that use cross-selling, up-selling, behavioral merchandising, and interactive merchandising, with standard and premium options available.

    Venda Interactive Merchandising (Venda IM)

Venda IM is a premium Flash and HTML5 content management system ideal for eCommerce Managers who are dissatisfied with the cost, complexity, and technical knowledge required to deploy and manage rich media content.

Using a simple portal and interface, eCommerce Managers can produce interactive modules that include carousels, slide shows, galleries, video, and active images. These can be used virtually anywhere, such as the homepage, Product Category List and Search Results pages.

A simple alternative, using a HTML slider, is also available.

    Accessory Products

Accessory Products are products that are manually associated with others to take advantage of cross-selling. Some sites use this to offer additional Products that compliment the current product, or to offer alternative products that the customer may also consider buying.

    Substitute Products

Substitute Products are products that are manually associated with others with the intention to offer them as alternatives to the current Product. They're useful if a customer is looking at a Product that is out of stock.

  • Other

    Miscellaneous Showcase Features

There are also a number of other items of functionality available on Showcase.

    Quick Shop

Quick Shop enables customers to enter the SKUs of the products they are interested in buying into text fields. A search is performed and a list of products is returned. If there are any variations to chose from they can make their selection and then use the "Add to Cart" button, which adds all of the products to the cart. This is ideal for sites that also maintain a paper catalog and use the same SKUs for their products both on and offline.

Email Me When Back In Stock

When a product is out of stock, a customer can request that they be emailed when the product is available for purchase again. If the customer is logged in, the field is pre-populated with their email address.

    Venda Mobile

By default we build our templates to be responsive so that they are optimized for all devices. However you may prefer to use a separate mobile solution (perhaps to keep your main site static width or simply to offer a more specialized mobile site), which is where Venda Mobile comes in. It runs on the same back-end (VCP) as your desktop site but shows different templates.
