CALENDULA MOISTURISING BODY CREAM
Candis Magazine, August 2010. Feature: Health News. Home Doctor. Heat Rash. What they say? Looks like: Small bumps, some with a red halo that make it look like blisters. Occurs in folds of skin or where there’s clothing friction. Common in children and babies, or in those travelling to much warmer climates. Sometimes occurs on the backs of those lying still for long periods due to illness. Symptoms: Itchy or can feel prickly. Causes: Often due to Staphylococcus epidermis bacteria that live harmlessly on the skin but produce a sticky substance which, when combined with sweat and deal cells, can block sweat glands. Self help: Using an antibacterial soap or genuine green tea shower gel can keep down the bacteria. Body lotions with anhydrous lanolin can help prevent sweat duct blockage. Try Weleda Calendula Moisturising Body Cream (made for babies). Treat the rash with calamine lotion or chicken pox products . . . . Doctors may also prescribe steroid cream.
Woman’s Own, 14 June 2010. Feature: Soothe Skin. Prickly Heat. As your body temperature rises, an itchy rash can spoil otherwise healthy looking skin. Medically called miliaria, prickly heat is caused by perspiration and bacteria blocking sweat ducts. What they say? Long Term. Skin treatments containing anhydrous lanolin help prevent blocked sweat ducts. Try Weleda Baby Calendula Moisturising Body Cream.
Mother & Baby Magazine Awards 2009. Winner of Gold Award: Best Skincare Range
Review:
I have always found it difficult to find a moisturiser for my sensitive skin; I have tended to stay away from the usual brand names that you find in the high street, finding them all 'fragrance' and little else! I wandered into my local health food shop with the intention of treating myself to a Weleda cream and because I am five months pregnant, I was drawn to the baby range and so decided to try your Calendula moisturising baby cream. It was fantastic and I immediately felt the soothing effects and with a fragrance that comes from a real source and nothing synthetic. I'll definately be buying more of your products!
