Because pregnancy is a big job for your muscles and skin, our organic arnica flower extract helps ease tightness and provides a layer of comforting warmth when you indulge yourself with a soothing massage.
Nourishing wheat germ oil conditions and refines your skin’s texture with a high quantity of vitamins A, D and E. Regular use visibly helps to correct the appearance of stretch marks on your pregnant belly; your thighs, bottom and breasts; and helps prevent the appearance of new ones. How to Use:
Weleda Pregnancy Body Oil can be applied two to three times daily - from the beginning of pregnancy up to three months after birth – with light, circular massage movements over the stomach, thighs, bottom and breasts.
A kneading massage is not recommended. If you are unsure of the best way to apply body oils, please consult with your midwife, nurse or doctor.
Please note that oils containing Arnica should not be used on broken skin as they may cause irritation.

Ideal for soothing skin as it stretches during pregnancy, the oil helps keep connective tissues elastic to prevent stretch marks. It contains skin-smoothing jojoba oil, wheat germ oil, which is rich in moisturising vitamin E and fatty-acids, and anti-inflammatory organic arnica flower extract, to support recovery. It is delicately fragranced with pure essential oils including relaxing geranium, soothing lavender and refreshing orange. Pregnant mums should use the oil from the beginning of pregnancy up to 3 months after birth.
Review:
I used this oil with two pregnant clients and both loved the fragrance. I was concerned that the aroma might be too strong for pregnant ‘smell-sensitive’ women, but even the client who was nauseous with most fragrances/smells was fine. In fact she actively enjoyed being exposed to a fragrance that didn’t make her feel ill, and that she didn’t tire of.
As a professional masseur, and also personally, I always find Weleda oils enjoyable and easy to apply. They are very easily and quickly absorbed into the skin. However this can make them expensive to use on a regular basis.
I have never come across a Weleda oil that didn’t smell and feel heavenly! But the scent is wonderfully pervasive in the room so it would be impossible to use a variety of different oils in one day in my practice as the mixture of aromas for consecutive clients could be a bit much.
