For 13 years Josephine Fairley and Sarah Stacey, authors of The Beauty Bible book and website, have beavered away with a large team of volunteers testing products. So it was a thrill to hear that six Weleda products have just won new Green Beauty Bible awards!
The awards were announced in November 2009 on publication of the new updated Green Beauty Bible. Jo Fairley recognized this achievement, saying: ‘It’s a stellar achievement for Weleda products to feature in our books. With results based on the opinions of over 7500 women, this is unquestionably the biggest consumer test of beauty products ever carried out in the world.’

Several other Weleda products are highlighted in the book as being personal favourites of Jo’s and Sarah’s, who both have a wealth of experience in the beauty industry, including Weleda’s range of natural toothpastes. They also love the Wild Rose and Sea Buckthorn Body Washes, although testers favoured the recently launched Lavender.
These prestigious awards shine out in the world of natural health and beauty, with products first vetted by this highly respected editorial duo before they can be submitted to the Tried & Tested scheme. Sarah is health editor for the Mail on Sunday’s You magazine and Chair of the Guild of Health Writers, whilst Jo is contributing editor for various magazines writing on beauty and organic living, and co-founded the pioneering organic chocolate company Green & Black’s with her husband Craig Sams, and was for nine years Chair of the Soil Association’s Health Products Standards Committee.
