Production Planner / Administrator

Reporting to the Head of Production and working closely with them, you will be responsible for assessing the workload to ensure the Production Departments have clear, agreed production plans based on the requirements of the sales forecast.

Key tasks will be:

  • To ensure that necessary materials are available to carry out the production plans and to monitor the expiry dates of materials used by production to minimise wastage.
  • Liaison with Head of Supply Chain, Head of Garden and Head of Pharmacy Specials, as necessary
  • To communicate the upcoming production plans to the wider company, including regular updates where plans are not met or changed.
  • Use the Navision computer system to generate all necessary paperwork for production, to log stock movements and usage as well as reconciling stock levels.
  • Maintain computerised production master data.
  • Review all production paperwork for accuracy and completeness before passing on to Quality Control.

The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:-

  • A background working within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in production planning and/or material scheduling
  • Ability to work independently and communicate at all levels.
  • Able to represent the team in production meetings with internal staff.
  • Excellent organisational and presentation skills
  • Computer literate with a good understanding of Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience of Navision would be useful but not essential

This role involves working in a ‘clean room’ environment under pharmaceutical and GMP regulations.

This is a full time position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
