Marketing Co-ordinator – Digital

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the person appointed will be responsible for the digital look and feel of Weleda UK including our web and social platforms.

The role will also include duties to support a small but highly functioning Marketing team.

Key duties will include:

  • Operating as the Guardian of Weleda’s digital platforms.
  • Keeping the web site up to date, ensuring integration with the wider Marketing plan.

    • Key PR
    • Promotions
    • Editorial content
  • Ability to collect, generate, analyse, report and act on relevant and informative data
  • Ensure maximum visibility of the web site via content management, search engine optimisation and search engine advertising.
  • Manage Weleda’s Social Marketing platforms to ensure we are competitive and have the coverage required (the majority of the time content will be written elsewhere).Provide regular reviews from the web and social sites with recommendations on improvements, including the use of Google Analytics
  • Liaise with International Marketing for brand guidelines and assistance
  • Be an active part of the wider sales and Marketing team and any duties this includes

To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate your exceptional project management skills along with your ability to be highly organised, disciplined and skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously. A flexible ‘can-do’ attitude is therefore essential. You’ll also be self-motivated, enthusiastic and have the ability to pick things up quickly and work well as part of a team.

You must have experience of website maintenance, search engine optimisation, Google Analytics and photo editing software. Also required is a thorough understanding and the ability to build Weleda’s presence on all social platforms and how to maximise their potential.

Ideally, the person appointed will have enthusiasm for all things natural and they will want to expand their knowledge of our ethical and sustainable company, including our vast range of products, all of which are 100% natural.

The position is offered on a full time basis, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, although we may consider part time hours. Nevertheless, a flexible approach to hours of work will be required as there may be a requirement to work some evenings and an occasional weekend and travel on company business will be required.

Seasonal Gardeners

On our 13 acre field we grow more than 150 species of medicinal plant. These range from trees like Birch and Thuja, shrubs and hedgerow bushes like Blackthorn and Hawthorn, field crops of Calendula, Oats and Chamomile, smaller quantities of herbs and wild flowers, to vegetables and weeds! Initial cultivation for field crops is done with a tractor using a plough and spading machine; everything else is done by hand.

Some plants are grown in beds, others are grown extensively in meadows and woodland or in and around ponds. We are completely organic, using Biodynamic methods with Demeter certification.

As well as sowing, planting, weeding and making compost, we also do all the harvesting and the making of fresh plant tinctures. Harvested amounts vary from 150kg to a few hundred grammes!

Hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday and the likely duration of the temporary positions is from 23rd March 2015 to 23rd October 2015.

We are looking for individuals with gardening experience but enthusiasm and interest in Biodynamics and medicinal herbs is equally as important.

Part Time Gardener

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, part time Gardener to develop and maintain the grounds and gardens around our Head Office site in Ilkeston.

We currently have several herbaceous borders, a medicinal herb garden, compost area, pond, lawns, hedges and mixed shrub borders.

The gardens are an important resource for staff, visitors and wildlife and are managed following organic/biodynamic principles.

Other duties will include litter picking, keeping the site swept/tidy, and site recycling/ composting.

The post holder will be expected to help out in other areas of the company if weather conditions prohibit work outside.

The successful candidate should be able to work approximately 20 hours per week, ideally worked over 3 days per week between Monday – Friday.
