Pomegranate Regenerating Hand Cream

I wanted to write and tell you how much I love the pomegranate regenerating hand cream. When I first applied the cream they were left feeling a little greasy but after about 10 minutes this disappeared and my hands were left feeling amazingly soft. The most impressive thing is that I always apply hand cream at bedtime and I didn't have to reapply this cream until I went to bed again the following evening!! I have very dry hands and bother me throughout the day but I forgot to reapply the cream because my hands stayed smooth all day!! I have never had a hand cream work so well!!

Just to say thank you so much for the lovely tube of pomegranate hand cream that you sent me as a result of my entering a draw in the . . . . magazine. The hand cream feels lovely, smells good, smooths rough skin and helps cracks in the skin of my hands to heal. And seems visibly to make them look a lot better and less aged. Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream

For many years I have suffered from deep cracks at the tips of my thumbs and forefingers over the winter months, I have tried many products to alleviate the problem without any real success. By chance I thought I would apply some of the Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream and I was amazed to find that after a few days use the cracks began to heal and to date I no longer have rough, unsightly and painful thumb and forefingers. I have recommended it to my sister who also has this problem.

As we try to live in a more ecological way we use washable nappies and there is a lot of cooking and cleaning to be done every day . Just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know how I discovered Weleda products whilst on holiday . . . . Spending a week in Mallorca this summer, my sons caught the sun a little more than I would have liked (despite using sunscreen) so I needed something to soothe & moisturise their pink patches. I remembered seeing an article in a magazine recently praising the properties of Weleda and so always keen to use natural products, especially on the children, I found a local store that stocked 'Skin Food'. From the 1st application it worked wonders, calming their sore bits (tops of ears & feet mainly) and restoring moisture levels. The kids even liked the smell! I tried it out on the dry patches on my beach battered toes & heels and I am now converted...I returned to the store to stock up on some skincare for myself, trying the Iris day cream as my skin has a tendency to be dry. Feeling wonderful on my skin, it has put an end to that 'tight' feeling you sometimes get after cleansing and has maintained my post holiday glow. I'm now well & truly a fan and will sample other products in the range.

I thought I would share my recipe, inspired by Japanese spas, for getting the maximum out of Weleda bath products:

- First, in the shower, a thorough wash with your favourite Weleda's Creamy Body Wash.

- Next, run a bath to which one of Weleda's gorgeous Bath Milk is added. Now, slip into the divine smelling bath and soak for as long as the water temperature is comfortable.

After the shower, the skin's clean and open pores were ready to absorb to the maximum the aromatic benefits dispensed by the pure essential oils. Enjoy!

Chestnut Toning Bath Soak

A friend had kindly purchased the Chestnut Toning bath soak as a special 40th birthday gift back in July so I thought it totally appropriate to invite it along on my trip. The west coast of Ireland is superb scenically, friendly of folk and is blessed with the most wonderful air to breathe, but as you can imagine can be a bit nippy of weather - even in October!

Hence the need for a little early evening unwinder, after daytime walks in the surrounding shorelines and countryside and my own personal creation of a Chestnut Soak Spa!!

My ritual of the Chestnut baths, coupled with a little candle burning on the window became as much a part of the holiday as the cheery chats, hearty food and will certainly be one to remember in the future for this kind of Autumn/winter break.

Thanks to Weleda’s gem of a product, which I have to say works wonders, i still had bags of energy for the evening, yet i was able to unwind my body naturally. It soothes the soul, and of course tends to the achy muscles. Thanks.

Lavender Relaxing Bath Milk & Pine Reviving Bath Milk

I would just like say how wonderful your Bath Milk products are. I have been using the Lavender Relaxing Bath Milk and the Pine reviving Bath Milk for sometime now. When I first used the Lavender Bath Milk I was a bit sceptical about it's soothing & harmonising properties. As the instructions said I added 2 to 3 capfuls of the milk, it looked very little as I added the capfuls of the milk into my bath, However when coming back into the bathroom a few minutes later the whole room was filled with the wonderful aroma of Lavender. Bathing in the Lavender bath milk was a wonderfully relaxing treat.

The same with the "Pine milk", and as it says on the bottle it is a most uplifting aroma. It is extremely refreshing, ideal for if you need a bit of a lift or revitalising at any time of the day. I will certainly be sticking with these bath milks, they are well worth the money, I will be trying out the Citrus one very soon. These products are truly excellent, and I continue to recommend them to friends & family. Thankyou.

Pine Reviving Bath Milk

. . . I also took the Pine Reviving Bath Milk (it was recommended by someone on your website) and I must say it was absolute bliss to have a good soak in it after an exhausting day of skiing. It really helped relax those tired muscles and bring some energy back to my body! So that'll be an essential item from now on, as we also like to trek in the mountains during the summer.

DEODORANTS

I’ve been trying natural deodorants rather than the antiperspirants and fake-scented deodorants available. I believe it doesn’t make sense to try and halt a natural bodily function. An extra benefit of all I’ve tried is that they don’t leave white marks on clothes. Weleda’s deodorants are the best so far. They don’t make your skin sore, they smell fresh, and they work - but gently, with no synthetic ingredients. Now I buy large bottles, but appreciate the smaller size for travelling.

Problem: For a long time I have been trying different, more natural deodorants than the sort more commonly sold in chemists such as antiperspirants and fake-scented deodorants. I believe it is better to use a deodorant than an antiperspirant as it doesn't make sense to try to halt a natural bodily function. In my quest I have tried a few different types, the extra benefits of all that I've tried being that they do not leave white marks on my clothes. I consider Weleda's deodorants to be the best that I've used so far as they do not make your skin sore, they smell fresh and they work (even in the summer months), but gently, with no synthetic ingredients. The fact that they are sprays makes it easy to reapply, e.g. when travelling. I often travel away at weekends and so I find it particularly useful that there are travel sizes available. Now I buy larger bottles and decant some into the smaller bottle for when I travel.

Citrus Deodorant

I have recently purchased your citrus deodorant spray and would just like to say that this is the best deodorant I have used in a long while. I have tried quite a few natural deodorants in my time (I am 57) and found that they either make my armpits itch (the stone ones and to a lesser degree the ones with stones in) or they don't work and I have to keep topping up during the day. Yours, however, smells lovely, doesn't run down my upper arm and keeps me fresh all day. I will be trying all the other scents and getting a travel size too in the future. Result! Wild Rose Deodorant

After receiving the latest catalogue from Weleda I would like to recommend your products to new and old users. I discovered Weleda products last year when I was living in Portland, Oregon in the USA. I was 12 weeks pregnant and developed a serious skin infection that resulted in abscesses forming under my arms. After being treated in hospital, my carer suggested I use a natural deodorant with a spray nozzle rather than well known brands of antiperspirants which I normally applied. I came across Weleda Wild Rose Deodorant in a store that sold organic food and other natural cosmetics and households products in one of the wonderful neighbourhoods in SE Portland close to my yoga school. It may be a coincidence, but I have had no skin infections under my arms since I started using the product and I did not have to worry about the effects of unnatural chemicals being sprayed into the air on my unborn baby. When I returned to the UK earlier this year I searched for the Weleda website on the internet and had the deodorant sent to me directly. I'm still using it and I would recommend Weleda Wild Rose Deodorant to anyone who suffers from the same problem or any mums to be with the same worries. It has a lovely smell and works whether you are working out at the gym or riding a horse! Thank you!

Birch Cellulite Oil

I honestly recommend this product, I have used this product twice as day as I had put on weight and noticed I was getting cellulite on my arms and stomach area. After my shower/bath I rubbed this oil into my skin and used a brush to help massage this product into my skin. I notices after a month my skin felt smooth and less bumpy and bright looking. Worth every penny.

I liked the presentation and the look and wording of the product. God quality packaging. The oil is absorbed easily and doesn't stain clothes. It makes the skin silky smooth. Unlike other products this one smells nice. While using this oil it never caused me any reaction or irritation. I would use the oil twice a day. I saw a real improvement to the tone of my skin. This product is Excellent. Personally I think it is a bit pricey. I would buy this product again if it was a bit cheaper. An excellent product for improving skin tone an ideal luxury treat.

Looks expensive. Simple but effective packaging – looks expensive and describes what the product does. Oil by its nature is not particularly easy to get out of a bottle without spilling it unless you’re very careful; however the neck design meant it didn’t flow too freely. I thought that it felt like it absorbed very well. Enough to be happy to put pj’s over the top. But probably not my best trousers! I think that the smell is lovely. Even my husband commented on it ‘what’s that funny smell – a bit like lemons – I really like it’. This oil did not cause any irritation to my skin. I would use this twice a day, sometimes just once if I forgot on a morning. It’s very hard to say. My skin felt much smoother and softer in general, however I was also dieting and training for a 10k whilst using the oil so that may have had an effect. I’m tending towards yes though as I think that the oil definitely made a difference to the overall improvement in my skin (it definitely improved). I read the literature that came with the product and it gives the impression that it’s a good quality product. The results back this up. It’s quite expensive compared to a standard moisturiser, but I would say it is worth the outlay and probably not a lot more than other cellulite treatments. No need to improve product design is good. I would consider buying this item and possibly other Weleda products. Would recommend too. Very happy using this oil as it smells lovely and definitely improved the feel and texture of my skin.

I recently tried Birch Body Scrub to exfoliate my body, it is very soft and the fragrance is really natural and pleasant. It improves my skin, now smoother and clearer.

Stretch Mark Oil (formerly Pregnancy Body Oil)

When pregnant women feel relaxed and pampered, it increases oxytocin levels - the 'love hormone' which is then absorbed by the growing baby. When the woman's partner massage's her belly, it brings the three of them closer together. I will definitely be recommending Weleda's Pregnancy Oil as its made by a company I trust as it only uses pure and natural ingredients.

I used this oil with two pregnant clients and both loved the fragrance. I was concerned that the aroma might be too strong for pregnant ‘smell-sensitive’ women, but even the client who was nauseous with most fragrances/smells was fine. In fact she actively enjoyed being exposed to a fragrance that didn’t make her feel ill, and that she didn’t tire of.

As a professional masseur, and also personally, I always find Weleda oils enjoyable and easy to apply. They are very easily and quickly absorbed into the skin. However this can make them expensive to use on a regular basis.

I have never come across a Weleda oil that didn’t smell and feel heavenly! But the scent is wonderfully pervasive in the room so it would be impossible to use a variety of different oils in one day in my practice as the mixture of aromas for consecutive clients could be a bit much.

Sea Buckthorn Body Lotion

. . . . and finally, I have only recently discovered the Sea Buckthorn range and absolutely love the Body lotion and Hand cream, so they follow me pretty much everywhere. I find the lotion is great as an aftersun cream as it is so rehydrating.

Sea Buckthorn Body Oil

I nearly won bronze in the UK cold water swimming championships but missed it by 4/100ths of a second or 3 cm doing headup breastroke in 4 degree water. I was wearing your rose day moisturiser and the sea buckthorn body oil which made my skin still feel good after leaving the 4 degree water regards.
