The Boy Zone

Weleda sponsors The Model Zone at London Collections Men

After nine very successful years supporting London Fashion Week models, Weleda is thrilled to be supporting the British Fashion Council project The Model Zone again this June. This time it is at London Collections Men (LCM) and it’s just for the boys!

Giving male models an equal piece of the pampering this season, just as the girls are spoiled at London Fashion Week in February and September each year, Weleda has created a little holistic haven for show weary models. This is a sanctuary of calm where models can rest and recharge their batteries between castings, fittings and shows, and escape from the show pressure and media glare.

This relaxing retreat provides models with a nurturing oasis where they can unwind, eat healthily, drink plenty of fluids, and make the most of skincare advice and organic beauty treatments from the Weleda team Nisha Jani, Caroline Burke and Rachael Leffman.

The models have the chance to experience a special SOS Skin Food Facial – a 30 minute radiance restoring miracle worker with Weleda Skin Food. The facial skincare routine uses Skin Food as a moisture-boosting facemask, together with a selection of other Weleda products made with calendula, chamomile, rosemary, lavender and almond (which are all ingredients in Weleda Skin Food) to cleanse, massage, soothe and revive.

Models take home a ‘Fashion Week survival collection’ containing some prized Weleda Skin Food and other treats. Formulated in 1926, this evergreen beauty classic is celebrating 90 Years of naturalness this year. Top models rely on it to restore radiance, including the most famous male supermodel of all, David Gandy. Other well-known faces that enjoy Weleda skincare include actor Adam Garcia, Olympic equestrian champion William Fox-Pitt, and television presenter Stephen Mulhern. Another famous British model who swears by Weleda Skin Food is Andrew Cooper:

“I was on a shoot in Antigua once and got seriously burnt, and Weleda Skin Food was the only thing that could sort me out. That stuff is awesome”.

As well as Skin Food, The Model Zone goody bag also includes a Weleda Wheat anti-dandruff shampoo, an Arnica Sports Shower Gel, Moisture Cream for Men, Sage Deodorant, travel minis of Arnica Massage Oil, Foot Balm, Salt Toothpaste, and a Weleda toothbrush.

Skin Food will also be working its magic backstage at many LCM shows where it has become a staple in so many make-up artists’ kits.
