Pure Beauty award for ‘Best Natural Launch’
It was all coming up roses for Weleda at the recent Pure Beauty Awards 2011 when their newly reformulated and relaunched Wild Rose Smoothing Day Cream scooped the GOLD award for Best Natural Launch.
Weleda’s Wild Rose Facial Care range was relaunched and repackaged, with improved top-quality formulations including a higher percentage of organic and biodynamic ingredients to upgrade this top selling collection.
Wild Rose Smoothing Day Cream (rrp £12.50 30ml) enjoys an enthusiastic fan club of celebrities including actresses Jessica Alba and Amanda Seyfried, and supermodels Alexa Chung, Erin O’Connor and Karoline Kurkova.
Wild Rose Smoothing Day Cream also holds a ‘Beauty Bible Beauty Steals’ award from the Beauty Bible tried & tested project set up by Jo Fairley and Sarah Stacey - giving a definitive insight into the products that really work but don’t cost the earth (in Weleda’s case, we mean that literally, with this 100% natural NATRUE-certified range made with eco-friendly, organic and sustainable ingredients).
The Pure Beauty Awards 2011 are voted for by beauty retailers - beauty buyers, consultants and beauty counter assistants, from small independent shops to large department stores, multiples and online beauty retailers. Readers voted for the products that made the biggest impact on their industry over the past 12 months - products that really work, and really sell.
Weleda’s cream pipped 6 other well known brands to the post, beating off competition from NATorigin and Lavera amongst others. Weleda’s Karin Calladine collected the award from actor Mathew Horne and Pure Beauty Editor Emily Miller during a glamorous gala dinner at London’s Savoy on 6 October.
The awards will be announced in the November issue of Pure Beauty magazine.
