Your Toddler YOUR TODDLER (12 MONTHS TO 3 YEARS OLD)

The first three years of life are crammed with incredible growth and development, and between 1 and 3 years your child’s distinct character will be expressed in more ways than ever.

As your child becomes steadier on his or her feet physical play will be the new order of the day. Running, jumping, dancing, kicking, climbing and paddling all stretch and strengthen growing limbs. They will enjoy being read to, dressing themselves, drawing and painting as well as pushing boundaries too.

Then, after walking comes talking – the key to our communication and socialisation as distinct people. Your child will now become more fully involved in interactive play and activities, asking endless questions, understanding your answers and mastering new skills.

•  You’ll be the first port of call for all daily dramas and upsets
