Weleda gets in the zone...

Weleda sponsors The Model Zone 19-23 February 2016

After the success of The Model Zone at London Fashion Week (LFW) last September, Weleda is excited to be supporting the British Fashion Council initiative again this February. This is the official LFW zone where models can rest and recharge their batteries between fittings and shows. The exact location each season is confidential, so that it remains a private haven where models can escape from the show pressure and media glare.

This relaxing retreat provides models with a nurturing oasis where they can unwind, shower, change, eat healthily, drink plenty of fluids, get some nutritional advice, discover the benefits of yoga and meditation, take off their make-up and enjoy a little pampering with organic skincare from Weleda.

With February’s bitter winds battering even the most beautiful of complexions, Weleda will be offering models a special SOS Skin Food Facial – a 30 minute miracle worker. Weleda’s experienced team of beauty therapists Amanda Bucher, Nisha Jani and Natalie Lewis will offer revitalising treatments and massages plus natural skincare advice. Weleda’s homeopathic pharmacist Evelyn Liddell and homeopath Wendy Rushin will be on hand for wellbeing advice and holistic health consultations.

Models will take home a ‘Fashion Week survival collection’ containing some prized Weleda Skin Food and other treats. Formulated in 1926, this evergreen beauty classic is celebrating 90 Years of naturalness this year. Top models rely on it to restore radiance, including Alexa Chung, Erin O’Connor, Suki Waterhouse, Dree Hemingway, Jessica Stam, Behati Prinsloo, Helena Christensen, Chandra North, Angela Lindvall, Claudia Barila and Karen Ferrari.

The washrooms and changing areas at The Model Zone will be stocked with Weleda organic soaps, hand creams, shower gels, natural toothpastes and deodorants, plus three brand new ‘Jardin De Vie’ Weleda fragrances to keep models front-row-fresh. Skin Food will also be working its magic backstage at many LFW shows where it has become a staple in so many make-up artists’ kits.

Weleda has also teamed up with award winning British shoe designer Camilla Elphick and Skin Food will feature in her special LFW gift bag this season. Her designs are feminine and playful, exemplified by fans of brand such as Alexa Chung and Dree Hemingway who both also just happen to be big fans of Weleda Skin Food! Like Weleda, Camilla was awarded the Positive Luxury butterfly mark for her commitment to people and the planet, working with artisans in Italy to produce beautifully crafted and handmade shoes, with a focus on premium, ethically sourced materials. The brand also offers a repair service, which means you can keep your Camilla Elphicks for years to come.
