Rooted in shared values, the collaboration between Weleda and Stella McCartney reflects more than just our backstage beauty credentials - an ethical alignment based on cruelty-free principles, conscious sourcing, and a deep respect for both nature and craftsmanship. For over 100 years, Weleda has been creating beauty in harmony with people and nature, with sustainability, biodiversity and responsible sourcing at the heart of everything we do. For 25 years, Stella McCartney has been challenging the fashion industry to rethink what’s possible and using her platform to educate and inspire the fashion industry to make more sustainable, earth-friendly choices.
Stella’s latest collection put the spotlight on our oceans and the fashion industry’s impact on the aquatic world. With up to 35% of microplastics in the ocean coming from synthetic fibres, the collection was a powerful reminder of the impact our choices can have on the world around us. On arrival, a replica Giant White Shark dominated the courtyard, and the oceanic theme invited guests to see the ocean not as an endless resource, but as a living world under threat from global warming, pollution and human consumption.

The show took place at the British Embassy in Paris, located on one of the city’s most iconic streets, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, and hosted some of fashion and entertainment’s biggest names, with Jennifer Lopez, Diane Morgan, Amy Jackson and Ms Lauren Hill and Taylor Hill in the front row, while Karlie Kloss and Miranda Kerr walked the runway. But the biggest star of the show was our iconic Skin Food.
Backstage, the Skin Food Glow Studio prepped models’ skin with facials and targeted treatments using Skin Food products including Skin Food Nourishing Cleansing Balm, Skin Food Super Serum and Skin Food Original to replenish and hydrate skin before hair and make-up. Pat McGrath and her team then applied light, barely-there make-up to echo this season’s trend of pared back beauty and enhance the naturally radiant, healthy-looking skin.
And the final touch in line-up? Skin Food’s signature luminous finish using Skin Food Ultra-Light Dry Oil for gorgeous, glowy runway-ready limbs and decolletage.
The partnership between Skin Food and Stella McCartney reflects the shared values of both brands, with a focus on quality, integrity and a more considered approach to beauty and fashion. The SS27 runway collection was crafted from 100% sustainable fabrics and recycled ocean plastics, the show was a powerful reminder that creativity, luxury and more responsible choices can exist side by side.

“I’ve always believed that real change happens when we come together. None of us can change an industry alone, which is why meaningful partnerships with people and brands that genuinely share your values are so important. Having Weleda Skin Food backstage to prep our models’ skin makes perfect sense; Weleda has stayed true to its principles for generations, with an incredible respect for nature and sustainability at the heart of every product. For me, this partnership is about using our collective voices to show that there is another way; joining forces, sharing what we have learnt and proving that doing things differently can have real impact.”
− Stella McCartney, renowned sustainable fashion designer
“Our partnership with Stella McCartney is a match made in heaven, bringing together two ethically aligned, pioneering brands united by their commitment to sustainability, innovation, and conscious luxury. We are very proud to celebrate our 100-year-old Skin Food on the main stage with Stella at Paris Fashion Week. Not only does this reflects Skin Food’s relevance and reputation as the fashion industry’s backstage beauty essential, but also our belief that true beauty should be as responsible as it is radiant.”
