Description

You’re probably already looking forward to the day when you finally get to meet your baby. Most women hope for a birth without an episiotomy. Good birth preparation, which also includes gently loosening the delicate perineal tissue, can help you have a more comfortable birth experience. Regular massages help to increase skin elasticity and flexibility in the birth area, and also help to reduce the risk of perineal tear and episiotomy.  Weleda Perineum Massage Oil is a mild, 100% natural blend based on smoothing sweet almond oil. Enriched with organic sesame and jojoba oils and vitamin E–rich wheat germ oil, it is specially crafted to support massages that help the perineum become more supple and relaxed. Its delicate floral fragrance with natural clary sage, geranium, and rose inspires calm, strength, and confidence as you prepare for birth.

How to use

Perineal massage from the 35th week of pregnancy helps you to strengthen trust in your own body.  We recommend preparing the perineal area with warm water before the massage, ideally while showering. All you need for your daily perineal massage are a clock with a second hand or a timer, clean hands and fingernails, and the Perineum Massage Oil within reach. For special massage techniques, see enclosed leaflet.
