The winter season is officially here, bringing with it many a Christmas party, the un-escapable winter sniffles and plenty of freezing cold wet afternoons. All of which are perfect excuses to nest in bed.

If you want to be truly decadent, make sure you have a selection of comfy cushions, a cosy cardigan and easy access to a warm drink and snacks. Toast truly isn’t the best thing for bed picnics (too many crumbs) but making a warm bowl of porridge and taking it back with you, or eating cheese on toast with a side of tomato soup can be. Of course, you can always choose to use your extra time in bed with a partner in whichever way you prefer.

We can’t advise doing it all the time, but we genuinely think nesting in bed is beneficial to one's health. At this time of year, things can get chaotic and it is important we take the time to let ourselves completely relax and reboot. So whether you’re nursing a hangover, nursing a cold, or just don’t fancy facing the harsh cold world that lies outside your front door, let yourself have time to nest in bed.

Don’t be afraid to Nap

Naps are most definitely allowed when nesting in bed. One of the nicest feelings in the world is waking up and knowing you don’t have anywhere to be. You can just stay put in your lovely warm duvet.
