Hello to our Weleda community!

A lot has changed in the last few months, so I wanted to update you on life at Weleda UK, and share some of the changes we’re making so we can continue to support you during this time, while of course protecting our wonderful team.

As a brand dedicated to helping people stay well, we’ve been creating natural health and wellbeing products for 100 years. You might know us for our natural & organic beauty products like Skin Food and our Mother & Baby range, but what you might not know is that we manufacture a wide range of medicines and natural remedies at our HQ, made with plants grown at our organic sustainable herb farm in Derbyshire.

That means Weleda is considered an essential business involved in the effort to keep the country going.

To ensure team safety while we supply our products to those in need, we’ve restructured the business with 40% of staff now working from home, and several team members are in isolation due to underlying medical conditions. We’ve redeployed team members to support our warehouse, production and customer care teams who are busy offering advice over the phone, and we are running alternating two-shift systems while also ensuring co-workers are protected with strict social distancing rules.

Knowing we are all trying hard to stay home and not pop to the shops for small purchases, but equally understanding how important it is to have access to your Weleda essentials and especially our medicines, we have lowered the threshold for the minimum online spend to qualify for free p&p to just £30. Both from our online store or from your local Weleda Wellbeing Advisor’s web-shop. And we are currently offering free delivery to serve the local Ilkeston area following our shop’s closure. Please contact our Customer Care team if you have a query – we are here to help anytime from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, on 0115 944 8200.

Beyond our immediate community we are offering our support more widely wherever we can – for example sending products to the phenomenal NHS workers in critical care units around the country. Our Weleda teams overseas are also involved in similar efforts, such as manufacturing a bespoke hand sanitiser for regional medical and blood bank centres in France and we’re working on creating our own hand sanitiser here in the UK too.

Finally, we’re working hard (in isolation) to create helpful tips and advice to help you stay healthy and positive...

Take care and stay well.

Love from Jayn and the Weleda team x
