Natural Cosmetics Week

This Natural Cosmetics Week, we’re celebrating the power of real natural beauty - and the conscious choices that make a real difference.

What is Natural Cosmetics Week?

Natural Cosmetics Week is more than a campaign, it’s a collective effort to build a more honest and responsible future for the sector. For one week in November, brands, retailers, professionals, scientists, and consumers will come together to spotlight the real impact of truly natural and organic cosmetics.

This year’s Natural Cosmetics Week - led by NATRUE, the international certification standard you’ll find on Weleda packs - celebrates the theme “Natural Care, Real Impact: Trust What’s Behind the Label.”

It’s a reminder that today’s natural beauty is a powerful fusion of nature and science. Advances in green chemistry and sustainable innovation mean certified natural products can now match the performance of conventional cosmetics, while staying true to ethical and environmental principles.

Beauty with integrity

At Weleda, we know our customers are thoughtful about what they buy, consciously choosing fewer, better-quality products, and caring deeply about what’s inside every bottle - and the impact those ingredients have on our skin, our planet, and the people who produce them.
As more of us seek products that reflect our values, the focus on authenticity, transparency, and real impact is reshaping the beauty landscape for good.

Why certification matters

In a beauty aisle crowded with buzzwords like “eco” and “natural”, true transparency can be hard to find. That’s why certification is so important. The NATRUE label is your guarantee of genuine naturalness - built on rigorous, transparent criteria that protect both people and planet.

What the NATRUE label stands for:

•Only granted to brands dedicated to authentic natural and organic beauty
•100% natural, naturally derived, or nature-identical ingredients only
•No GMOs, silicones, parabens, or microplastics
•No synthetic fragrances or mineral oils
•Independent external certification for full transparency
And while NATRUE doesn’t certify cruelty-free claims, it’s reassuring to know the NATRUE label is not permitted on products that have been tested on animals.
