In 2021 Weleda turned 100 and what better way to celebrate this remarkable milestone than to plant a Weleda forest!
We are embarking on a long-term collaboration with the UK charity TreeSisters with the aim of planting one million trees to combat climate change and celebrate Weleda’s centenary in a way that also looks to the future.
Why have I received a Weleda postcard?
If you have received one of our Plant A Forest postcards with your package, you will be pleased to know that a tree has been planted in your honour!
If your Weleda package is a gift, you’ll be delighted to learn that the sender has thoughtfully added a TreeSisters donation to your gift, so that a tree can be planted on your behalf.
Alternatively you may have received a postcard because you placed your order at a time when we were actively promoting our TreeSisters collaboration, and Weleda donated a tree for every order placed during that period.
This does more than simply offset the emissions for your delivery. Our goal to plant a million trees will help reforest our future, as the donation will help fund the planting of tropical trees, sequestering carbon and directly replenishing the world's forests. So far, our collaboration with TreeSisters has resulted in over 70,500 trees planted!
Where will my tree be planted?
The Weleda vision is to plant a magnificent forest of trees. Not in a single location but a forest of a million trees planted around the world where trees are needed most urgently - to reclaim endangered rainforest, prevent flooding or soil erosion, protect natural habitats, support local communities in some of the poorest countries in the world, and empower women in the workplace. The charity funds tropical reforestation projects globally with a focus on initiatives either run by women or supporting women around the world.

When you next place an order either for yourself or a gift for friends and family, you can choose to offset the p&p with a TreeSisters donation. It’s a tree-mendous idea for birthday presents, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, weddings, baby showers, anniversaries, graduation gifts and other special occasions, to show how much you care about the wellbeing of our planet.
Currently p&p is free for consumer orders over £30, but you can actively offset your delivery by making a £1 donation donation, or more, at the checkout.
If you like to shop local rather than online, you might like to know that we are also teaming up with our stockists around the UK, inviting our retailers to contribute planting a tree towards their free delivery from our Weleda warehouse to their store.
