Jayn Sterland retains prestigious #1 spot in the 2022 Who’s Who In Natural Beauty

Jayn Sterland, managing director of Weleda UK, has retained her No.1 position in this year’s ‘Who’s Who In Natural Beauty’ which recognises the organic beauty sector’s most influential voices, and those driving change and growth in the industry.

The Top 25 is published in Natural Beauty News and, as the editor explains, is a compilation of the top “… movers and shakers who are shaping the natural beauty sector in 2022. There are the CEOs who work late nights and early mornings to make their natural dreams a reality; the experts who can magic up ethical potions that consumers covet; and of course the champions who tirelessly share the industry’s successes and push for more positive visibility for organic beauty across the world.”

This is the 10th year that Jayn has featured in the Top 25 and her sixth time at No.1.

“Every natural beauty fan knows that Weleda UK is much more than a brand – it’s a much-loved icon. And for the last 14 years Jayn Sterland has worked extra hard to keep it that way, helping to drive the wider beauty industry towards social and environmental responsibility and more sustainable business practices. To this end, Jayn recently joined the board of the global B Corp Beauty Coalition – a collaboration of B Corp-certified beauty brands and businesses – to represent Weleda internationally, a position she now holds alongside chairing the Sustainable Beauty Coalition. And her determination hasn’t gone unnoticed: in April she was presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award at NOPEX.”

Jayn reacted to the news of her No.1 success:

“I feel very thrilled to have been voted into the top spot of our natural beauty industry’s Who’s Who again this year, which is such an honour. What I love about the Top 25 is that it each year it pulls together such an inspirational list of all those in our industry who are bringing about positive change - it’s so affirming to feel part of such a great movement. I am very grateful to everyone who took time to nominate.”

Jayn was appointed Chair of the British Beauty Council’s Sustainable Beauty Coalition last year, which has a primary role to develop a clear strategy, roadmap and initiatives that will accelerate the sustainability efforts of the industry, to encourage and strengthen links across the industry to accelerate bolder collective efforts, and to champion the green economy. Earlier this year, Jayn joined the Board of the newly formed B Corp Beauty Coalition, its mission is to improve the social and environmental impacts of business practices in the beauty industry internationally, through knowledge sharing and responsible innovation. In April 2022 Jayn was honoured with an Outstanding Achievement Award at NOPEX, recognising her tireless efforts to drive change in the organic beauty sector for a more planet-positive future.
