British Beauty Council appoints
Jayn Sterland, Managing Director Weleda UK, to its advisory board

Jayn brings her expertise and authority as a thought leader in sustainability, social and environmental responsibilities both through her role at Weleda and endorsed by the wider industry which saw her voted ‘No 1 Who’s Who In Natural Beauty’ for the fourth consecutive year in 2019. Today Jayn holds the No 2 spot in the industry's Who's Who.

The British Beauty Council was founded to represent the voices, opinions and needs of the British beauty industry – from hairdressing to cosmetics, therapy and spa, in education and training, and from formulation to manufacture, supply, logistics packaging, design, retail and media. The Council is a not-for-profit, inclusive organisation that works to engage politicians and business leaders about the value of British beauty to the national economy, and its key role in the UK’s creative and cultural character.

CEO of the British Beauty Council, Millie Kendall commented: “It’s a privilege to have Jayn on our advisory board alongside other industry luminaries. We’ve got a busy schedule for 2020 and are looking forward to learning from Jayn’s particular areas of experience to help us change the game.”

Jayn Sterland commented: “I am both honoured and delighted to be joining the advisory board of the British Beauty Council. Our industry is facing many challenges, from ‘greenwashing’ and ingredient integrity to fundamental sustainability issues. I look forward to working with the Council to champion a more collaborative and ethical approach to social and environmental responsibility, and to campaign for greater transparency within the beauty industry.”
